ECG assures public of regular power supply 


The Eastern Regional General Manager of the Electricity Company of Ghana Limited, Michael Baah, has assured the Easter celebrants in the Region especially those on the Kwahu Ridge and the foreign tourists of regular power supply during the season. 

He said adequate measures have been put in place to ensure that consumers enjoy uninterrupted power supply till the end of Easter Mr. Baah gave the assurance in an interview with a Radio Ghana correspondent in Koforidua. 

According to him,a skeletal number of staff,mostly being the electrical engineers and electricians are on stand by to attend to any emergency. 

That apart, he noted, more prepaid points have been opened in order to bring the services closer to the doorstep of the customers for easy access to prepaid credits. 

Mr. Baah advised the public to be cautious in the use of electrical appliances during  Easter since consumption is likely to soar. 

He therefore called on the public to cooperate with ECG services to enhance a successful Easter celebration without any incident to help promote tourism in the country and the region in particular.
