Koku Anyidoho 'Likely' To Be Released Today

GBC's Radio Ghana is picking reports that Deputy General-Secretary of the National Democratic Congress, Koku Anyidoho will likely be granted bail this morning.

In a related development a member of the Legal Team for  NDC's Deputy General Secretary, Koku Anyidoho, Chris Akumey says they are currently waiting for the Police to complete their interrogation within the stipulated 48 hours so they would know what step to take next. 

He said their plan for now is to bail Mr. Anyidoho, who is still in detention over alleged treasonable charges. 

Mr. Akumey said the statement that Mr. Anyidoho made for which he is being charged is not treasonable but rather it sounds like an admonition. 

He said what Mr. Anyidoho said lacks any ingredient that qualifies it to be treason.
