Ghanaian commentators not handling the US military cooperation wisely


Governance Expert, Prof. Baffour Agyemang Duah says the way Ghanaians and social commentators are handling the issue of the Military Cooperation Agreement between Ghana and the U.S, is not the best. 

He said as a country we are doing severe damage to our diplomatic relations not only with the U.S but other countries that would want to have agreements with Ghana. 

Speaking to Radio Ghana, Prof. Baffour Agyemang Duah said it is wrong for some people to think that Ghana has sold its sovereignty to the U.S. 

He said all over the world, such co-operations exist, and this is not the first time Ghana is entering into this kind of agreement with the U.S.  

Without mincing words, he stated that the way and manner the issue has been handled especially the one bordering on security, is not the best.
