Tema: More Than 70 ECG Customers Prosecuted For Illegal Connection

Seventy-nine customers of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), have been prosecuted for tampering with their metres and illegally connecting power to their homes. 

The Revenue Protection Manager, Tema Region of the Company, Mrs. Zita Kyei Gyamfi who spoke to Radio Ghana's Felix Cofie, said about 96,000 premises were visited by the ECG officials. 

She said those who have been found culpable have been surcharged and have up to a month to pay.
