ECG not to blame for darkness in Akwatia Community - 

The Eastern Regional Public Relations Officer of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) Mary Eshun-Oppong, says ECG is not to blame for the darkness that has engulfed the Akwatia Community in the Denkyembour District for the last three months. 

She explained that ECG can only supply power after it has received distribution from the Volta River Authority, VRA. 

She said ECG and Volta River Authority (VRA) will have to come to an agreement to enable ECG to properly take over the supply of power to the Akwatia township from the VRA.
