Speaking to Radio Ghana, he said the community has been living in darkness for the past one hundred and 16 days. Mr. Quansah noted that efforts to get the ECG to restore power, has proved futile. He said the Assembly is giving the ECG a week to resolve the challenge. The Akwatia township has been without electricity since November last year when power supply was cut to the mining company, Ghana Consolidated Diamond Limited which supplied residents with electricity.
