'Fake degree scandal hits Kenyan police'

A number of police officers in Kenya are reported to have lied about their academic qualifications using forged documents in order to access higher paid roles. 

The Nation also lists examples of dubious degrees officers said they obtained, such as "Divinity Studies" from Universities located in low end residential Nairobi estates.
 
Some officers who presented degree certificates had in fact scored grade D in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education examination, despite Kenya Universities demand a minimum grade of C+ grade on admission.
