The Ghanaian Times finds the on-going debate on the Ghana-US defence cooperation pact as unhealthy given the sharp difference between government and the Minority. The Paper is therefore appealing to the two to   find a common ground to agree on the pact to move the country forward. The Times laments the fact that the debate drags along partisan lines, the more it tends to obscure the benefits of consensus-building to arrive at a decision that is of national interest. It calls for good reasoning and sound judgment in arriving at a decision on this very sensitive and critical pact.

The Daily Graphic calls for drastic measures and policies to protect water bodies in the country. The paper says the irresponsible attitude of throwing rubbish into drains as well as industrial waste and faecal matter into water bodies should not be tolerated any longer. It says Ghanaians must know that water is a basic need and a necessity hence;   learn how to collect rainwater as an alternative way to use natural resources.

The Daily Heritage is concerned about the alarming rate of road accidents in the country. The paper laments that statistics on road accidents remain the same each year hence education on road safety must be intensified to avert the trend. The Paper cautions road users to take safety precautions seriously especially during the Easter season. The Daily Heritage asked stakeholders in the road sector to invest in technologies that will effectively monitor activities on the roads to bring offenders to book.
