GUTA welcomes government's decision to suspend Fumigation Levy indefinitely

The Ghana Union of Traders Association (GUTA), says though it welcomes government's decision to suspend indefinitely the Fumigation Levy on commodities, there are still some outstanding issues that GUTA wants government to, as a matter of urgency address.

GUTA's President, Dr. Joseph Obeng said the Association will continue to engage government on some levies like the 17.5% VAT which also adds huge financial burden on activities of its members. 

Dr. Obeng commended government for being responsive to their concerns. 

Dr. Obeng said government, through the Trade Ministry must always engage traders to know their concerns when formulating policies.
