More than 90% of health facilities operating without authorization Only 2,000 Health Facilities in the country have been licensed to operate, out of the estimated 32,000. The Health Facilities Regulatory Agency (HEFRA) says it will not fail in its mandate to ensure that all the Health Facilities are registered, despite its limited resources. Acting Registrar of the Agency, Mathew Yaw Kyeremeh said his organisation is in the process of securing the needed logistics to work with, and hospitals that do not meet standards set by the Agency will be downgraded to clinics. Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Health, Robert Cudjoe said initially only private health facilities were being regulated. He said the Ministry will put in measures to ensure that HEFRA carries out their mandate appropriately. GBCONLINE ---DECRYPTED---
