Formal trial of alleged murderers of late Major Maxwell Mahama begins
       
The trial of those alleged to be involved in the murder of Major Maxwell Adam Mahama has started. 
The plea of all 14 suspects was taken in an Accra High Court. 
They are being charged with abetment of crime, conspiracy to commit murder and murder.

Bernard Asamoah and 12 others were charged with conspiracy to commit murder to which they all pleaded not guilty.

Again Bernard Asamoah, Kofi Nyame, Akwasi Baah, Kwame Tuffour, Joseph Appiah Kubi and three others were also charged for murder for which they pleaded not guilty. 

The assembly man William Baah also pleaded not guilty to the charge of abetment of crime.

Presiding Judge, Justice Mariama Owusu ensured that all suspects had lawyers to represent them. 

Two others were left with no lawyer but the judge appointed a lawyer by name Godwin Gyamfi, for the remaining suspects. 

The case has been adjourned to the 12th of April for the Jurors to know the suspects.
