UNIBANK failed to meet mandated 50% financial threshold -

Director of Communications at the Bank of Ghana, Bernard Otabil, has explained that UNIBANK consistently failed to meet its mandated of 50% financial required threshold. 

He said the Bank of Ghana has been supporting UNIBANK to the tune of 2.2 billion cedis through the liquidity support approach.  

However, the Central Bank, realised UNIBANK is not sufficiently sound enough, hence the appointment of KPMG to take over management of the Bank.
