Extraordinary Summit of Heads of State and AU opens in Kigali Rwanda The extraordinary summit of Heads of State and government of the African Union, AU has opened in Kigali, Rwanda. The summit will witness the signing of an agreement that will launch the African Continental Free Trade Area, intended to make Africa the largest free trade area created since the formation of the World Trade Organisation. President Akufo Addo yesterday left Accra to attend the summit. He is expected back home today.
