The Daily Graphic Calls on the Bank of Ghana to step up its game by providing sufficient information that will help the public decide rationally and take the right course of action that will be beneficial to them. According to the paper, the Communications Unit of the BOG has not been very effective in communicating monetary policy and has ultimately reduced its functions to inviting the media to monetary policy news conferences. The Graphic however commends the governor of the Bank of Ghana and his team and urges them to continue with the bold reforms to sanitise the financial sector



The Ghanaian Times appeals to the youth of Ahwiaa in the Ashanti Region to live in peace. The paper says it is unfortunate the Ahwiaa tonwship has been in the media as a result of clashes between two youth groups who have been battling each other for the past few weeks. The Times calls on the National Peace Council to reactivates its conflict prevention and resolution mechanism in these troubled areas to maintain its peaceful coexistence and tolerance of one another.

The Today Newspaper says Ghanaians agree that corruption is a major stumbling block to the country's development and needs to be tackled with all the tools available. The Paper notes that one such potent tool towards fighting corruption is the Right To Information bill. It says the bill will allow Ghanaians to examine every government decision, study the reason given by government for taking a particular step, and utilise information gathered to ensure government acts in a transparent and just manner. In effect, the passage of the Bill will enable people to better inform on actions of governments to contain corruption.
