Bank of Ghana assures UNIBANK customers their deposits are safe

The Bank of Ghana says deposits of all UNIBANK customers are protected despite the take over of the management of the Bank. 

The Central Bank is asking customers not to rush to withdraw money or worry about what the future portends, because KPMG, the new administrators will return the bank to regulatory compliance within six months. 

Speaking to Journalists in Accra, Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr. Ernest Addison said the decision will save UNIBANK from collapse and also prevent potential losses to depositors and other creditors.
