US not establishing military base in Ghana - Defence Minister The Minister of Defence, Dominic Nitiwul has rebutted claims that the US is about to establish a military base in Ghana. According to him, what he laid in Parliament today (March 20) is a renewal of an already existing agreement between the two countries. He said it is not true that countries that have similar agreements with the US are targets of terrorist attacks. According to him, irrespective of whether there is a US military base or not, no country is immune from terrorism. He said Ghana will continue to have partnership with other counties since the world is now a global village and no country can survive on its own. Meanwhile, Parliament has approved the formula for the disbursement of the national health insurance fund for the year 2018. GBCONLINE ---DECRYPTED---
