'Stop harassing Mugabe,' new Zim party warns Mnangagwa

A newly formed political party in Zimbabwe, the New Patriotic Front, NPF, has cautioned President Emmerson Mnangagwa's to stop harassing former leader Robert Mugabe and accord him his constitutional rights to association and other reforms. 

Founder of the NPF, who is also a former cabinet minister in the Zanu-PF party, Ambrose Mutinhiri said his new party is sympathetic to the former president, Robert Mugabe.

Mr. Mutinhiri resigned from parliament and quit the Zanu-PF due to what he said was the military intervention that pressured 94-year-old Mugabe into stepping down in November. 

The development is said to have unsettled Zanu-PF, which has accused the veteran politician of trying to destabilise the ruling party.
