The Ghanaian Times discusses the Ghana Beyond Aid agenda. The Paper says the initiative is laudable because at 61, Ghana cannot continue to thrive on donor support since such gestures tie the country's apron strings to external influence, hence compromising the fundamentals of the Country's independence. The Paper says key initiatives such as the " Operation Feed Yourself and the 31st December Revolution which was implemented by successsive governments and the recent Planting for food and Jobs Programme are enough reasons to make Ghana self-reliant. The Times thinks Ghana Beyond Aid will be realised when Ghanaians walk the talk. 

The Daily Heritage is worried about the habit of hit-and run drivers. The paper says the act is irresponsible and tearing society apart. The Heritage therefore appeals to drivers to stop the practice. It also calls on the public to put an end to the habit of taking the law into their hands by lynching drivers who knock down pedestrians.
