President Akufo-Addo meets with country's Security Chiefs over recent upsurge in armed robbery

President Akufo-Addo is today meeting the country's Security Chiefs over the upsurge in armed robbery. Last week Vice President, Mahamoudu Bawamia, held a similar meeting with Security Chiefs after which seven strategies were adopted to check the situation. 

Measures taken by the Vice President during his meeting with the Security Heads include, deployment of Police and Military personnel across the country to conduct operations in the major cities to flush out criminals, fixing CCTV cameras in all financial institutions while the Ministry of Energy installs street lights on all major streets in cities across the country. 

The President is expected to dialogue with the Interior Minister and the IGP on the state of the country’s security.
