Two shot dead at Central Michigan University

Two people have been shot dead at Central Michigan University, while police are still hunting for the suspect.

Central Michigan University police confirmed the deaths of two people, whom they said were not students.

"Police believe the situation started from a domestic situation," the university said on Twitter.

In a statement, Central Michigan University said there were no additional injuries.

The campus remains on lockdown as police continue to hunt for the suspect.

The city of Mount Pleasant said the suspect, believed to be 19 years old, is considered "armed and dangerous."

The incident comes around two weeks after 17 students and staff were killed in a shooting at a Florida high school.
