SOCCABET SPONSORS FOUR GHANA PREMIER LEAGUE CLUBS

The financial burden of some four Ghanaian clubs have been lessen ahead of the upcoming premier league season following the acquisition of a sponsorship package from betting company Soccabet. The betting company in a press conference in Accra revealed that former league champions Wa All Stars and Berekum Chelsea, fast rising Inter Allies and Cape Coast based Mysterious Ebusua have entered in a 3 year sponsorship deal subject to renewal.

With the absence of a major headline sponsor in the last two seasons, the news comes as a sigh of relieve to these teams which is expected to cushion them as they prepare for the commencement of the 2017/18 Ghana premier league season.

The ceremony which attracted a lot of dignitaries including the former chairman of the Ghana Football Association Alhaji MND Jawula will see a winner of the Ghana Premier League among these sponsored clubs within the three (3) year contract pocketing Two Hundred Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHC200,000) as reward from Soccabet.

Speaking to Unniq fm in Accra, Jamal Marabi who brokered the deal as well as a rep from Soccabet revealed the rationale behind the partnership.

”The major problem facing Ghana football especially our league money and our target is to help make Ghanaian clubs financially sound to improve the standard of the league. We are thinking of spreading our wings to grab others clubs but we shall see how this partnership deal goes before committing to other clubs”.

The current signed and sealed deal runs from now till 2020 season.
