MOBA-USA Visits Albion Mends Snr (MOBA 38) (PHOTOS)


A delegation of the Mfantsepim Old Boys Association in the United States of America, (MOBA-USA) visited, Albion Mends Snr. at Warrensburg, MO on Saturday, 20th January 2018.

Mr. Mends Snr. is 99 years old and he is believed to be the oldest MOBA alive or at least in the USA.

He finished Mfantsipim in 1938.

The delegation which was led by the Association’s President, Pratt Abrokwa, included Dr. Justice Ahinful, Dr. Nana Gaisie and Mr. Mends’ son, Albion Jr (Albino).

Mr. Abrokwa wrote, “thanks for accompanying us to Warrensburg and finally Prof Mends, thanks for the reception at Manor Care. It was a great honour to see and speak with Mr. Albion Mends Snr. (MOBA 38).” 

The children of Mr. Mends expressed their appreciation to the group for the visit. 

Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Jackson-Kuofie, son-in-law and daughter were present and so was Dr. Musa Ilu, a family friend.
