'Cash for Seat' probe could damage Ghana’s investment drive - Trade Minister The Minister of Trade and Industry, Alan Kyeremateng, has warned that allegations of extortion by government from expatriate businesses could derail the country’s capacity to mobilize investments from foreign partners. Taking his turn at the sitting of the Special Committee set up to investigate the fall out of the Ghana Expatriate Business Awards, the Minister expressed worry over the controversy the matter had generated leading to a Parliamentary enquiry. Mr Kyeremateng insisted that the Ministry did not charge any corporate institution or person before sitting on the High table at the event. He said some seven persons made contributions prior to the event and another two after the event. GBCONLINE ---DECRYPTED---
