Mixed reaction greets NPP's one year in office Leadership of the Industrial and Commercial Workers Union, ICU, has rated President Akufo-Addo's one year tenure at 80 percent. It says the implementation of the Free Senior High School and the proposed reduction of electricity among other measures are the basis of the 80 percent rating. The ICU is however concerned with the alleged corruption that hit the Presidency over the expatriate awards and other alleged corruption cases at BOST. Meanwhile, a section of the public have expressed confidence in the governance style of the Akufo-Addo-led administration so far. They however appealed to the government to tackle some of the issues that characterized the smooth implementation of the free SHS policy, improve the justice system to tackle corruption and do its best to fulfil more of the promises that brought the NPP to power.
