NPP to establish marketing board to streamline cashew operations if elected The New Patriotic Party (NPP), has promised to establish a Cashew Marketing Board to strengthen the cashew industry. The Flagbearer of the party, Nana Akufo-Addo speaking at Banda in the Brong Ahafo Region said the cashew industry is faced with many challenges under President Mahama's administration. Nana Addo said he will improve the cashew industry like former President Kufuor did for the cocoa sector. The party was initially billed to hold its regional rally in the Ashanti Region but was unable to do so because of the ban on noise making following the death of the Asantehemaa, Nana Afia Kobi Serwah Ampem. The NPP called on its supporters across the country to remain loyal and committed to the cause of victory for the flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo in the December polls.
