ECOWAS Officials In Ghana To Train Lawyers & Judges On Court Operations


Officials from the ECOWAS Court, based in Abuja- Nigeria, are in Ghana to train lawyers and judges on operations of the Court.
 
The training which starts today, tuesday, November 29, 2016, will equip lawyers in particular with the procedures of the court and how it works.

In an interview with Radio Ghana, the Principal Legal Research Officer, Madam Franca Ofor, said the ECOWAS Court now has jurisdiction over human rights and other abuse cases but lacks criminal jurisdiction.
