Sack public sector HR Managers for non-performance

Human Resource Managers are being encouraged to be at the forefront of building and strengthening capacities and competencies that can give the public service the impetus for promotional change, innovation and productivity. 

Speaking at the 4th Conference and Annual General Meeting of HR Management Practitioners in Accra, the Vice Chairman of the Public Services Commission, Dr Lawrence Kanae, said it is time for HR Managers in the Public Sector to be treated like those in the private sector where they are shown the exit in the event of non-performance.
