Government denies ‘hiding' cocoa money Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur has denied that government has stashed away funds meant for the purchase of cocoa beans by the Cocoa Produce Buying Company, and it is using the money for campaign of President Mahama. He said there is no iota of truth in the allegation by the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) and has therefore asked the public, especially cocoa farmers to disregard this wicked lie. Addressing cocoa farmers in the Asunafo North District of the Brong Ahafo Region, Mr. Amissah-Arthur said the NDC government will continue to pay cocoa farmers well and also utilize the amount set aside for cocoa roads to improve road networks in the six cocoa producing regions.
