Chiraa chief equates CPP flagbearer to Dr. Kwame Nkrumah


The Chief of Chiraa in the Bono-Ahafo Region Barimah Mintah Afari has described the flagbearer of the Convention People’s Party, (CPP), Lawyer, Ivor Kobina Greenstreet as a visionary leader just as the first president of Ghana, Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah. 

He said, Mr. Greenstreet should be bold and courageous to lead Ghana into the promise land of economic prosperity. 

Barimah Afari said Mr Greenstreet has brought dignity and respect to the disability community and the electorate must urge him on to victory come December 7. 

Barimah Mintah Afari said this when Mr Greenstreet called on him at his palace before his campaign tour of the Sunyani West constituency. 

Radio Ghana’s Felix Cofie reports that the first day of his two day campaign tour took him to Berekum east and Sunyani East and West constituencies. 

In all these constituencies people line up the street to welcome Mr. Greenstreet's convoy into the constituency defying the scorching sun. 

Some of the people who spoke to Radio Ghana said they are tired of both the NDC and NPP, will want to give another party a chance. Clamouring for CPP paraphernalia has now become a common scene. 

Barimah Afari said the fact that one has a deformity on any part of the body means life should come to an end for him or her. 

He said Mr Greenstreet's boldness and courage has brought some sort of inspiration to him.

Mr. Greenstreet said the CPP journey of a new covenant is an all-inclusive government because Ghana deserves better. 

He said the vision of Dr Kwame Nkrumah the founder of the CPP are still relevant today and it is only through that vision that will make Ghana work again. 

The second day of the campaign tour today will take him to Techiman North and South.
