Dixcove to honor President Mahama with chieftaincy title for development projects

The chiefs and people of Lower Dixcove in the Ahanta West District of the Western Region have resolved to confer a chieftaincy title on President John Dramani Mahama in recognition of the numerous infrastructural projects he has brought to the area and the country as whole. 

They are therefore waiting patiently for him to come and inaugurate the community day senior high school popularly known as “E-Block” built in the community for them to show their appreciation by honouring him on the day. 

Speaking at an NDC mini rally in Agona Nkwanta, the Chief of Lower Dixcove Nana Kwasi Agyemang said he will not stop speaking about the unprecedented achievements of the Mahama administration even at the peril of his life. 

Though it was a market day, enthusiastic supporters of the NDC and others converged on the Agona Nkwanta lorry station for the mini rally. 

The Chief of Lower Dixcove, Nana Kwesi Agyeman said had it not been time constraint, he would have listed the infrastructural development and others which have improved the lives of his people one by one. 

He said if some people say they have not seen the good things President Mahama has done, for them they have seen it, feel it and they can testify to it. 

Nana Kwesi Agyeman appealed to President Mahama to make the MP for the area, Robert Aboagye a Minister in his next government. 

Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur attributed the massive development taking place in the country to the prevailing relative peace. 

He said President Mahama has worked hard to ensure that there is peace, security and unity as these are requisite for development.

Vice President Amissah-Arthur addressed another mini rally at Apowa in the Ahanta West constituency. 

The campaign trail moved to Mpohor. He paid a courtesy call on the chief of Mpohor, Osabarima Kow Entsie, who acknowledged the achievements of the Mahama administration, asked for God’s blessings for him, his government and the NDC party. 

Mr. Amissah-Arthur introduced the NDC’s parliamentary candidate Mark Kyeremah to the chief and his elders. He assured the chief that the NDC will continue to advice its supporters on the need to eschew violence and ensure peace at time. 

Addressing a mini rally in Adum-Banso, Mr. Amissah-Arthur urged the constituency officials and the supporters to extend the campaign to the villages for a comprehensive victory for President Mahama and the parliamentary candidate, Mark Kyeremah. 

At Sekyere Krobo in the Wassa East constituency, a large crowd of NDC supporters and the chiefs had assembled for the campaign launch of the NDC’s parliamentary candidate and Deputy Minister of Roads and Highways, Isaac Adjei Mensah. 

The Vice President assured the people that government will continue to set aside money from cocoa proceeds for the construction of roads in cocoa growing areas. 

He therefore appealed to cocoa farmers that those communities that are yet to benefit from the program will soon see work on their roads.

The traditional authorities appealed to President Mahama consider the work Mr. Adjei Mensah had done in just for years and elevate him to a ministerial status.
