President Mahama inaugurates Parkuso community Day Senior High School in Ashanti Region President John Dramani Mahama has inaugurated the Parkuso Community Day Senior High School in the Ashanti Region. The School is one of the five completed Schools in the Region. President Mahama, in his inaugural address said 13 of the Community Day Schools are located in Ashanti and eight of them are at various stages of completion. The inauguration of the school coincides with the President's Ashanti Regional Campaign tour. President Mahama said government's quest to expand infrastructure, especially in the education sector continues unabated. President Mahama was not happy about the manner in which every issue is given a political twist to suit people's agenda. He said this does not engender national development. President Mahama challenged the media not to allow people to use their platforms to peddle false information, but do due diligence in helping to bring out credible stories. President Mahama mentioned some interventions by government to improve the education sector. These include the recruitment of more teachers, capacity building and the provision of logistics to facilitate teaching and learning. The President charged the school authorities to maintain the facility. GBC
