District Development Facility in arrears - SEND-Ghana report

A SEND-Ghana report has revealed that the District Development Facility, DDF, which is meant to support development in performing assemblies, is in arrears for three years. 

Due to this, districts assemblies that qualify to access the funds have not been able to do so since 2013.  

The Chief Executive Officer of SEND WEST Africa, Siapha Kamara, who made this known in Accra at the media launch of the research report on the District Development Facility said  the Government of Ghana and donor partners including the German Development Bank, DANIDA and Agence Francaise de Development have failed to contribute to the fund. 

He asked government and the development partners to resume contribution to the fund to propel development.
