“Transform world" through cities- UN Chief "To transform our world, we must transform its cities;" that's the message from the UN Secretary-General on World Cities Day marked annually on October 31. Globally, more than half of all people live in cities and human settlements, and that proportion is projected to grow to two thirds by 2050. The UN chief Ban Ki-moon said that cities are increasingly the home of humanity and are central to climate action, global prosperity, peace and human rights. He urged people around the world to show how success in cities inspires change across the world. SOURCE: UN Radio
