Ghanaians urged not to give heed to election prophecies

The Catholic Metropolitan Archbishop of Accra, Most Reverend Gabriel Charles Palmer-Buckle, has urged Ghanaians not to allow predictions made by some prophets to influence who they vote for in this year’s election. 

They should rather, seek Gods direction to make the right choice. 

Most Reverend Palmer-Buckle said this electioneering is the right time for Christians to fervently pray for peace and counter negative actions with positive attitude for the good of the country.
 
Most Reverend Palmer-Buckle was speaking at the 25th Anniversary Thanksgiving Service of the Corpus Christi Parish at Sakumono. 

He said voting is a civic responsibility and all must exercise their right to make Ghana a better place adding, that Catholics are allowed to vote for any political party that they desire, but warned against the wearing of party colours to church.

Speaking on the theme for the Anniversary: “25 years as a United Family, Knowing, Living and Sharing the Goodness of God, the Most Reverend Palmer-Buckle commended Corpus Christi Parishioners for their good works and charged them to continue to evangelise and serve their community.

The Priest in Charge of the Corpus Christi Catholic Church at Sakumono, Very Rev Father Joseph Henry Mensah thanked pioneers for their sacrifices and commitment to the growth of the church, and cautioned the youth not to be swayed by the niceties of today.
