Ghana And France Commit To Strengthening Bilateral Relations

Ghana and France have committed themselves to co-operating with each other to further enhance the bilateral relations between them. 

Apart from supporting Ghana in areas of counter terrorism and investment in the economy, a business friendly agency based in France will soon establish an office in Accra to support small and medium enterprises. 

The Prime Minister of France, Manuel Valls said this to the media at the airport at the end of his two-day State visit to Ghana. 

He was confident that the December 7 election, will pass off peacefully. 

The high point of Prime Minister Valls' visit was the close door meeting he had with President Mahama at the flagstaff house. 

The two leaders discussed among other things economic co-operation, counter terrorism and security in the ECOWAS. 

Prime Minister Valls who spoke through an interpreter, said his visit is a demonstration of the confidence France has in Ghana. 

He said France is determined to increase her investments in Ghana's economy apart from the more than one billion euros already invested. 

The French Prime Minister was seen off by the Vice President, Kwesi Amissah -Arthur. 

Prior to his arrival in Accra, Mr. Valls had early on visited Togo.
 
His next destination is Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire.
