26 distinguished personalities honored for outstanding contribution to National Development

Twenty-six distinguished Ghanaians and seven foreign nationals have been honoured for their outstanding contribution to national development at this year's National Honours and Award ceremony in Accra. 

Dr. Michael Adeniyi Ishola Adenuga of Globacom received the Companion of the Star of Ghana award for his contribution to the telecommunication, oil and gas and sports sectors. 

In his remarks, President John Dramani Mahama said the awardees have sacrificed a lot for the sustainable development and prosperity of the nation. 

He commended them for their tireless effort to ensure the growth of the Country inspite of global challenges.
