Labour Department told to publish names of all employment agencies 

The Minister of Employment and Labour Relations, Haruna Iddrisu, has given a twenty-four hour ultimatum to the Labour Department to publish the names of all legal and illegal employment recruitment agencies in all the state-owned dailies.

This is to alert the general public of the exploitative and dangerous activities of these employment agencies. 

Mr. Iddrisu said the move is to stop the illegal migration of young girls and women to the gulf region. 

He said the dehumanising situation young Ghanaians go through calls for quick action to save their lives. 

The situation also puts Ghana in an embarrassing situation on the international front. 

Mr. Iddrisu said the same directives also go to the Ghana Immigration Service and the Police Service.
