Prez Mahama Bids Iranian Ambassador Farewell 

President John Mahama, today performed his official duty from the Eastern Region residency as the outgoing Iranian Ambassador Mohammad Soleymani, called on him to bid him farewell.
 
Mr Soleymani has been in the country for about five years. 

While he leaves with fond memories, he says he is proud to have pushed many agreements on Agriculture in which Iran has comparative advantage. 

He also pushed for a number of high level visits including the visit of Iran's former President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to Ghana.

Ambassador Soleymani, wished Ghana peaceful and successful election in December.

President Mahama, asked Ambassador Soleymani, to continue to push for outstanding bilateral agreements between Iran and Ghana.
 
President Mahama was the first African President to visit Iran early this year after the lifting of sanctions on that country.

President Mahama presented Ambassador Soleymani with a parting gift which consisted of a kente Stool for his wife and a stool to signify that he is always welcome to Ghana.
