U/W Regional Election Security Taskforce ready for polls

The Upper West Regional Election Security Taskforce has assured people of the region that the security agencies will be proactive to prevent any form of violence that will mar the peace of the region before, during and after this year’s polls.

It said the country has witnessed six successful general elections without violence.

The Chairman of the Regional Election Security Taskforce, DCOP Kwasi Mensah Duku, said this at a dialogue with political parties and the media in Wa.

He urged all political parties and the public to have confidence in the security agencies as they will continue to be fair, firm and neutral in the discharge of their duties during the electioneering.
