Parliament approves Oti Bless' ministerial nomination Parliament has approved the Deputy Minister nominee for Local Government and Rural Development John Bless Oti. The House okayed the Nominee after about three months of withholding the approval. The Chairman of the Appointments Committee and First Deputy Speaker, Ebo Barton Oduro presented the Committee’s report on the nominee on the 29th of July, this year, but the House could not approve the nominee due to some concerns about Mr. Oti’s alleged comment on a local radio station which scandalized the Chief Justice. Today, the Speaker Edward Doe Adjaho only put the question to the motion already moved three months ago by the 1st Deputy Speaker Ebo Barton Oduro and seconded by the MP for Ashaiman Alfred Agbesi. Mr. Oti will now wait for the President to swear him into office. GBC
