President Mahama begins 4-Day Campaign Tour of Eastern Region Today President John Dramani Mahama will today begin a four day campaign tour of the Eastern Region. The President, as part of the tour will commission two completed Community Day senior High Schools at Kwahu Fodoa and Takorasi. President Mahama will also hold mini rallies and interact with the chiefs and people in Abuakwa South, Akuapem North and South, Nsawam Adoagyiri and New Juaben North and South constituencies. He will also tour the Upper Manya, Lower Manya Krobo and Asuogyamang districts to press home the NDC's message of continuity. As part of plans to secure more votes in the 2016 elections in the region, the ruling NDC has launched a campaign dubbed "Agenda 50-50" with the aim of splitting the votes equally with the opposition NPP. To achieve this, the party has formed a 15-member task force, headed by the Regional Minister, Mavis Ama Frimpong to fuel the agenda 50-50 goal. The party is also aiming at winning eight parliamentary seats from the region. The party is optimistic that owing to the massive development projects registered in the region, obtaining half of the votes in the region is feasible. GBC
