NPP Sgnerigu candidate vows to take seat from incumbent The Parliamentary candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the Sgnerigu Constituency, Habib Iddrissu, has vowed to wrestle power from the incumbent MP for the area, Alhaji A.B.A Fuseini. At the launch of his campaign in Gurugu, the NPP candidate, told the people that the MP has failed them asked for their votes to correct the anomaly. He said while other Members of Parliament are in Parliament representing the interest of their people, Alhaji Fuseini spends most of his time in Tamale as Deputy Northern Regional Minister. Mr. Habib said, the quality of education in the newly created district is worsening, and promised to set up an educational fund to cater for brilliant but needy pupils in the area. He also promised to improve educational infrastructure, provide more health centers and construct roads to open up the area. The Sagnerigu Constituency is one of the constituencies created just before the 2012 elections. The seat is currently occupied by veteran journalist, Alhaji A.B.A Fuseini. GBC
