The Ghanaian Times raises concerns about the delay in the passage of the Right to Information Bill. The paper is disappointed with the withdrawal of the RTI Bill to be replaced by a new one. The paper admits that, it is important to feature all the concerns of other stakeholders but questions why that decision had to wait until now. The Times hopes this time the replaced document will not be delayed unduly. 

The Daily Graphic is sending danger signals to the appropriate quarters about the danger ‘galamsey’ operators are posing to the lives of people in the operation areas. Apart from the environment, water bodies and land degradation, ‘galamsey’ pose to the overall safety of the people. The Graphic says the consequence of illegal mining is a time bomb waiting to explode if action is not taken now. This is why the paper thinks the ministry responsible for lands and natural resources, minerals commission and other relevant agencies must develop a new dimension to deal with the ‘galamsey’ canker as soon as possible.
