Nouguchi Memorial Institute to conduct research into emerging infectious diseases

The Noguchi Institute for Medical Research in partnership with the Tokyo Medical and Dental University will expand its research activities beyond emerging infectious diseases. 

The partnership under the auspices of the Japanese International Corporation Agency, JICA, will see the construction of an ultramodern research laboratory, to be completed in August 2018.

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Ghana, Prof Ebenezer Oduro Owusu announced this at a joint conference between the University and the Tokyo Medical and Dental University.
