Veep Amissah-Arthur warns NDC supporters against complacency

Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur has called on supporters of the NDC not to be complacent but come out in their numbers and vote massively for President Mahama and all the 275 parliamentary candidates of the party. 

He charged them to carry the NDC’s campaign message to the communities and appeal to floating voters and those undecided to vote for the party. 

Vice President Amissah-Arthur made the call when he addressed hundreds of NDC supporters at Dunkwa-On-Offin Zongo on the third day of his campaign tour of the Central Region. 

He told the NDC supporters that President Mahama can only win the election when they are able to convince more voters to join them on December 7 and together vote for him. He said every single vote is important. 

Radio Ghana’s Seth Eyiah reports that Vice President Amissah-Athur, spent the third day of his campaign tour as running mate of President Mahama in the Upper Denkyira East and Upper Denkyira West constituencies. 

He visited Diaso, Ayanfuri, Kyekyewere and Dunkwa-On-Offin Zongo and addressed mini rallies there.   

Mr. Amissah-Arthur as tradition demands, paid a courtesy call on the Denkyira Traditional Council at the Amponsem Ahenfie. 
	
The Acting President of the council, Odeefuo Nana Agyei Nkyire thanked government for addressing their bad roads and also the 
reduction in galamsey activities. 

He pleaded with the Vice President to use his good offices to fast track development in the area. 

Odeefuo Nana Agyei Nkyire was hopeful that the people of Ghana will renew President Mahama’s mandate for another four years so that he can successfully complete all his policies and programs, which Denkyiraman, stands to benefit a lot. 

Vice President Amissah-Arthur thanked the Nananom for graciously settling the impasse between them and the DCEs for Upper 
Denkyira East and Upper Denkyira West. 

He assured them that government will complete all the development projects on going in the area and initiate new ones. 

He however, added that these may be possible if they renew President Mahama’s mandate again. 

This is because the development of Denkyira may not be the priority of the succeeding government that is why it is important to retain the NDC in government.

At the Dunkwa-On-Offin Zongo, Vice President Amissah-Arthur interacted with the supporters. 

He charged them not be over excited during rallies but listen attentively and carry the good message of the NDC to the communities and convince people to vote for President Mahama and the parliamentary candidates. 

Mr. Amissah-Arthur will today visit Twifo Attimorkwa and its surrounding communities and interact with the chiefs and farmers.
