Latter Day Saints donate blood In response to help stock the National Blood Bank, members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Ofankor organized a blood donation exercise to help the national cause. The Leader Second Councillor of the Church at Ofankor, George Thompson said the scriptures enjoin Christians to show concern for the welfare of others especially the sick and the weak. He noted that the exercise is in line with the belief of the church which is to save lives. A Blood Donor Organizer at the National Blood Service, Mrs. Akosua Okyere-Keelson asked Ghanaians to see blood donation as a civic duty. She thanked the church for supporting the Blood Bank and called on other organisations to do same. Some members of the church shared their thoughts after donating pints of blood.
