Security beefed up at Tamale EC office over gunshots Security has been beefed up at the Tamale Metro Electoral Commission (EC) office following sporadic gunshots by unknown persons this afternoon. According to our correspondent, Mohammed Fugu, some students from the University of Development Studies (UDS), went to the EC office to transfer their votes but a man believed to be a sympathiser of NDC prevented them from going through the process. Some New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters who were at the office stopped the man from his action but he went home, came back with an AK 47 rifle and a group of National Democratic Congress (NDC) sympathizers. He started firing the gun when he got to the office. GBC
