US Election: Kaine and Pence clash in vice-presidential TV debate The two American Vice Presidential Candidates have clashed in a televised debate scoring points but ending with a handshake and a pat on the back. The Republican and Governor of Indiana Mike Pence and Democratic Virginia Senator Tim Kaine attacked the records of their respective Presidential candidates Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton on a series of topics ranging from abortion to Russia. Mr Pence painted Mrs Clinton as a "weak and feckless" leader who failed on foreign policy as secretary of state. Meanwhile, Mr Kaine invoked Republican President Ronald Reagan when talking about the dangers of nuclear weapons under a Trump presidency. BBC
