Akufo Addo pledges to improve economy if voted

The flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo has reiterated his resolve to improve the economy of this country when voted into power. 

According to Nana Addo his major focus will be on providing more industries to process raw materials and provide jobs for the increasing number of unemployed youth. 

Nana Addo who was speaking at the Ablekuma west constituency on the second leg of his tour to the Greater Accra region asked the electorate to vote massively for him and for only elected parliamentary candidates of the NPP. 

The electoral areas visited in the Ablekuma West constituency include Shiabu, Gbebu, Opetekwei, Nasrawa, Tunga with the last stop at the Dansoman SNNIT flat. 

Nana Addo was received by a crowd which danced to the party’s campaign song.

He held durbars with the chiefs and people of the various communities where he asked the electorate to vote for the NPP for better living conditions.

Nana Akufo Addo said one of the major principles of the NPP is for members and sympathisers to work in the interest of the party. Therefore losing candidates in the party’s primaries who have decided to go independent should not be considered by the electorate.

Among the chiefs visited was Nii Adotei Kasa,Chief of Opetekwei. He endorsed Nana Addo and asked for infrastructural development in the area should the NPP win the December elections.

Nana Akufo Addo was accompanied by party bigwigs including Alan Kyeremanteng, former Public Accounts Committee Chairman Kan Dapaah, former AMA chief Executive Ajiri Blankson and National Women’s Organiser Otiko Afisa Djaba. Nana Addo introduced the NPP’s parliamentary candidate madam Ursula Owusu Ekuful to the electorate. 

He is expected to continue his tour of the region in the Ayawaaso central constituency.
