Dr. Nduom expressed his commitment to change the economy of the nation through agriculture and industrialization. He asked the people to check his track record, saying even in opposition I have created opportunities for millions of Ghanaians. He is focusing his tour on the Eastern Corridor of Ghana which is noted for its fertile lands and the production of yam as well as cereals. Despite the huge agricultural potential of the area, the people live between seasons of plenty and long periods of food insecurity usually between the months of February and June.
